SpOIL Your Pet: Cardamom Essential Oil Cardamom, a member of the ginger family is known as the “Queen of Spices” in the cooking world. Used by many cultures worldwide to flavor food and promote healthy digestion. Cardamom contains high amounts of linalool and 1,8-cineole which contributes to Cardamom oil’s ability to promote clear airways, easeful breathing, and tranquility. Cardamom is not only calming emotionally but also physically, being useful for digestive upset, constipation, diarrhea and respiratory conditions. Combine 1 drop each Cardamom and Frankincense in 1 tsp. Carrier oil for dogs and 2 tsp. Carrier oil for cats to soothe the respiratory system.
